The story begins in 2007 when a ragtag troupe of individuals started a business of their own in a small office outfit and started carrying out engineering installation projects for various government institutions. The troupe ran on a secret formula of success placing greater weight on their ability, determination and wit so as to be the best in business. Amidst these projects, the company discovered its niche in the supplying of highly sensitive specialty chemicals for the purpose of purifying and treating water for use in the national grid.

Ceegreen’s fast ascension in the field of water engineering coupled with its painstakingly nurtured supply chain and logistics networks enabled it to move into diversified business interests via strategic decision making. The company’s first diversification was into the construction ceramics market, initially focusing on ceramic tiles, ceramic sanitaryware and bathroom accessories. Shortly afterwards, driven by the long-term vision of diversifying into agrobusiness, Ceegreen further expanded into the plantations sector. This has in effect set the foundation for future, value-added product offerings derived from the same.

Since then, the organization has come a long way and has already expanded into the manufacturing sector specializing in specialty chemicals. Whilst also opening up new lines of revenue, it would serve as an entirely local value-adding venture whereas the other technical sectors of the company were dependent on overseas suppliers. Ceegreen is a quality-endorsed company that gives high value to customer relationships. Ceegreen Engineering (Pvt) Ltd. was formed with the objective of providing the most demanding professional services towards the development of the water supply & sanitation sectors and other related engineering works in Sri Lanka. From its inception, the company has managed to gain a reputation for providing reliability in the supply, installation, and commissioning of similar projects among government and non-government clients.
